Hello,
a bit about me:
I'm a marketing and project management expert seeking employment in a creative role. I grew up in Las Cruces, New Mexico where I attended New Mexico State University and interned at a Digital Marketing Agency called Sinuate Media. When I graduated, I decided to follow my dreams and make a big move to Southern California to explore career opportunities and further my professional growth.

I worked as a Marketing Assistant at a vertically integrated, international corporation called Intex Recreation Corp. out of Long Beach, CA. You may recognize the brand on your pool floats, above ground pool, or airbed. There, I mastered marketing strategies for global markets. I also developed content for web, packaging, and other materials for sales teams. I managed marketing events for various product launches and worked on cross-functional teams to grow our brand.

Later, I moved on to an Associate Product Manager role for DIRECTV/ AT&T corporate. I worked On product development and roll-out strategy for digital products in Latin American Markets. This role helped build on my strong communication skills as I worked with engineers, product managment teams, and content teams in various countries to resolve product errors, manage content rights, and launch products and tools internally and for consumers.

As much as I enjoyed my years in Southern California, I missed my hometown and felt ready to put down roots there. So, back to the Land of Enchantment I went! Returning with a newfound appreciation for my wonderful community, I brought along fresh knowledge and experience, ready to serve.

I was able to reconnect with my previous mentor with whom I interned during college and started working with her in my new role as Marketing Manager for her growing agency. I truly enjoyed working with clients, helping them evaluate their strategy and approach to marketing, creating and managing marketing campaigns that fit their needs, and helping them successfully grow their revenue and customer acquisitions. It was such a rewarding feeling to see the impact my team's methodically executed efforts had on their business and sustainable practices. I also learned that I loved leading a team! It was incredibly satisfying to empower our team members and leverage their strengths, encourage them to challenge themselves, serve them by finding resources to help bring their brilliant ideas to life, and foster collaboration that helped us grow as a company.

I switched some gears for my next role as I explored the world of economic development, government partnerships, grant writing/execution, and program management. As the Program Manager for Arrowhead Center Sprints Business Accelerator Programs, I learned a lot about economic development systems and how businesses are the backbone of economic growth in many communities. I took pride in creating programs that connected those businesses to tools and resources that helped them start or scale and create jobs for their communities across the state of New Mexico. This required learning how to establish effective partnerships in rural communities with changemakers, lobbying for our programs to potential funders, understanding unique challenges that affect businesses in each community and tailoring our offerings to be value-added in their ecosystem. At the same time, I continued refining my marketing skills by creating and rolling out strategic campaigns to bring awareness of our programs to our target audience: small to medium businesses and aspiring entrepreneurs throughout the state and borederplex region. When I first joined Arrowhead Center, we were running 3-4 programs per year. As I began developing systems, motions and strategies for our programs, we were able to grow our team from just me to a team of 4 and an output of 13 programs per year! It was a passion project for me to help build a sustainable department that had such a worthwhile cause.

Currently, I get to continue doing work that brings solutions to important challenges in my role with Wonderschool. Similar to my previous position, I help connect businesses to tools and resources that help them streamline their operations and grow, but with a focus on childcare. In my capacity as a Project Specialist, I've applied my innovative problem-solving and marketing skills to develop a new approach for childcare provider recruitment and product adoption across New Mexico and Idaho. I've created and managed marketing plans, written and designed bilingual content for assets, and experimented with strategic channels and built partnerships to reach a variety of audiences. One of the biggest ways I've grown in my role is refining my direct sales tactics in a way that gives me a unique perspective of end-to-end processes for marketing through sales.
